Hi!
Know someone selling a SW1911PD - the Scandium frame commander 1911. He claims it has roughly 500 rds through it, some light muzzle wear, and comes with wooden and wrap around finger-mold grips. He's asking $700.

Any thoughts on whether that's a good price and general opinions of this gun?

Thanks!

I love 1911s, I love Smith and Wessons, I don't know a lot about S&W 1911s, and there are other 1911s high on my list.

However, $700 for a lightly used quality 1911 Commander is a great buy if you ask me. I think they are like a grand brand new. You can save a few hundred bucks for a like new gun.

If I wanted a S&W 1911, this could be a good deal.

Take a peek on gun broker for completed auctions and use that as a guide. I have three 1911s that I shoot, and they are just a blast. They really are.

That is a good price unless there is something wrong with the pistol like the seller tried to home gunsmith it and the experience did not end well.
