Jerry Having Fun with a 5906
I'm surprised no one's posted this, but Jerry Miculek just did a video on the 5906 to die for:
Question is: Who here has one and do you know how to get a hold of another one?

I don't think I've ever seen the PC5906. I wouldn't mind having one! I do have a 5906TSW, which would be a lot more common. It's a good pistol that I enjoy taking to the range.
Jerry really is something. He sure can shoot fast & accurate. Thanks for posting.

Notice how he always starts firing in single action? And I know he's unbelievable, but he puts his hand real close to that muzzle while the gun is hot and even cocked in single action.
I always get jealous of his ammo room. Hundreds of thousands of rounds. Maybe millions. Shelves so heavy they look like they're about to collapse.
And he gets to just poke around the Performance Center and take stuff home. S&W just GIVES him expensive guns. Unreal.

Now, how come WE can't do that?
Jerry is the best, and I sure did enjoy that brief video, but I was surprised to hear Jerry complaining repeatedly about how S&W stopped making those wonderful stainless steel 3rd Gens such as his PC5906. Isn't that a case of criticizing one's sponsor and their current line-up of disposable plastic wonderguns?

I thought the same thing about when he put his hand near the muzzle. It scared me a few times.

Gun reminded me a lot of my PC IDPA 5906...... with melonite finish and rail added...... mine was from 1997 (DPA00xx).......been awhile but IIRC seems that it has a decocker only.
Ya first shot single action...... does make it a lot easier!

I wish companies would just send me demos!!
My god he's fast. I wish I could afford that much ammo to practice with!
Also wish I could have a place to practice shooting like that.
I wish, I wish, I wish!!!!

He did a reloading video once. Can't imagine him reloading his own ammo with pallets being delivered free of charge whenever he needs it. Hickock45 used to reload a lot. Now he gets free ammo sent to his house. Maybe he still does a bit, but not nearly as much.

11 rounds fired in 1.5 seconds, and on target at 10 yards or so.
I woulda called BS on that and lost money, if I hadn't seen (and heard) it myself on the video.
How can anybody do that!

I know right! I think most people would call BS on that, even without aimed shots.......just squeezing the trigger and sending lead flying.
I wonder how fast he is in drawing his handgun in a typical concealed carry holster?

How do you practice fast firing like that? Any range that I've been to in recent memory has rules about repeated fast firing, & they would frog march you out the door if you kept it up. And yes, the ammo cost would be prohibitive, to say the least! I wish, I wish, I wish too!

Theres a range here that allows moderate fast fire. Meaning you can't dump drum of ammo but you can do 3, 4, 5 shots in quick succession. Another range I was at in early spring allows mag dumps as long as they know you (know you know how to handle a firearm and are not new to shooting)

I have this weird recurring dream wherein some damn idiot fool breaks into Jerry's house. Next thing you hear is 15 or so shots... but it all sounds like just a single loud noise.
At that point, Jerry looks down and checks his shot timer... and a smile comes to his face. "15 rounds on target in 1.62 seconds" he declares! "Not bad" he remarks as a smile comes to his face!

Saint Peter was considering addmittance, checking a new arrival to see if he'd recieved the last rites: "So, what were the last words you heard?"
Burgaler: " YOH!!"

He's having way too much fun than what should be allowed for one person.
But.. I can relate. This is my PC 4006 IDPA model. Only 12 made, very accurate, Briley spherical barrel bushing, hand fitted slide, de-cock only... shoots just like that 5906, just not anywhere as fast, must be defective.

A Melonited PC 5906TSW for the "Mexican Special Forces".
Why is this not in the retail catalog? There is a new S&W I would buy. And it would be the first new S&W I've bought since 2001. Shame its not available. Regards 18DAI

Me too I'd even like it with the rail...... that must shoot like a .22!
Still not sure I've identified the rear sight on that gun. Wilson Combat.... vs. Novak?

Not originally, but the frame did have the cutouts for it. I found the mag well on Speed Shooters Specialties sold as an "overrun" from the Performance Center. There's a pair of ears that straddles the grip tunnel that retains the mainspring, and the grip pin holds the mag well in place, it came un-drilled. I got the last one they had, so it was "do or die" when I had to drill those ears for the pin... don't mind admitting that there was some fabric puckering going on while I did the drilling/fitting.

It very well may be a Wilson Combat. According to my ex wife I'm usually wrong.

I had the pleasure of meeting him and watching him shoot at the S&W range some years ago. He was doing the revolver speed shooting/reloading with the 625 at the time, and set the world record shortly thereafter.
If you think he's a funny dude in his videos, he's hilarious in person. If you ever have a chance, go see him shoot.

Why would you call B.S. on 11 rounds in 1.5 seconds without a reload?
Didn't he shoot 12 rounds in 2.99 seconds from a single revolver INCLUDING RELOAD?

He sure did... and I'm still trying to pick my jaw off of the floor after seeing this version on youtube showing his reload in ultra slow motion... watch it, and you will be shocked at all that is going on within the blink of an eye!! The man is a machine...
If you close at the video frame below, you can see TWO bullets just after they exited the barrel... Wow, that's fast.

Yeah... they'd have 16 shots in them before it fully registered in their brain that they had been shot even once.
