One of these popped up for sale locally and here in Arizona and I couldn't pass it up. I've noticed that the third gen market is pretty dry in this state (probably due to some friends on here
) and at the price I paid I don't think I hit the deal of the century but did decent.
The 1076 included 300 rounds of ball ammo, 2 yellow follower mags, paperwork but no box, and a Galco top break OWB holster which fits all of my other Smiths autos which is nice. The gun has had about 200 rounds through it, has dim trijicons, but only a handful of miniscule handling marks. Holding it, it just feels right in my paws. It is in fabulous condition.
2 years ago I bought a 3906 and joined this website. The bug bit me then but I always said I would stick with 9mm. Now I own a near obsession amount of these autos, in every caliber offered except for the .357 tsw. I hope my future son and daughter, and my family, share the same love my father and grandfather have shared with me with these for years to come. This one might be my favorite.
I doubt this is an FBI gun, but I might letter it for the heck of it. It would be cool but judging by prior threads addressing this, Im not going to hold my breath. I can't wait to shoot it this weekend.
