Anybody ever seen or know anything about an unmarked slide on a Model 908? I saw one today, it does not look refinished, no wavy lines or anything, absolutely no trace of worn or buffed markings. Blue is fairly bright, but the slide is completely unmarked. It has the standard 908 rear sight and front sight. Frame is normally marked with standard 908 markings. I do not know if this is some type of rework or what? Anybody have any ideas? Sorry, no pictures, it is at a local gun shop.

My guess would be an amateur refinished the slide at some point, and removed all traces of the laser etchings in the process. The factory bluing on these value line guns was not very durable.
