Thumbs up S&W Mk 22 Mod 0 - All drawings completed

Folks,

I have not been here in a while, as Life was calling...

About 36 months ago (Edited here: my, how time does indeed fly), I started a journey to reverse engineer the correct parts to create a replica of the iconic S&W Mark 22 Mod 0 "Hush Puppy" pistol, used by the U. S. Navy SEALs during the Vietnam war and for a bit after. I am happy to state the journey has finally reached a successful end...

I have several PDF file drawing of each needed part. I can also show a few "in-process" images of a S&W 39-2 that is being converted into a "Hush Puppy" now, to demonstrate what is being done...

Only thing I have been unable to figure out is how to draw the curves for the detachable shoulder stock. (Them crazy curves have me stumped.) If someone can assist me with that particular item, then the entire pistol will be complete...

Folks,

Attached are the remaining PDF drawings. I also uploaded an image of how the barrel bushing must be modified to allow a 5" threaded barrel to be installed/uninstalled from the slide...

Folks,

To gauge interest for production, how many would want rear sight wings? I asked a gent about making 50 to start, but I would only need 1 for myself. What say you all then?

I, possibly, would be interested in a ejection port dust cover for the mod. 39? I haven't seen one in years.

Folks,

I started buying items for both the pistol and the accessory kit for this project. Few weeks back, I got a pair of black plastic grips online that are identical to the grips used on the Hush Puppy. Today, I bought some black plastic 9mm snap caps that are look similar in shape to the actual chamber plugs (minus the groove with O-ring in it) and two black PVC 1/2" end cap to use as thread protectors. I am still trying to figure out the chamber plug for the faux suppressor...

And yes, I am starting to work on finding a source to make the ejection port covers for the early 39s...
