I love my CS 9 for all the reasons we all know - only problem is finding holsters and other accessories due to it's relative scarcity.
I like the IWB hybrid (KYDEX) type holsters but few manufacturers list the CS 9 as an option. I have heard that you can use a 3913 which is a little easier to find. Is this correct? How close a match is it? Would a kydex piece fit for the 3913 properly secure the CS 9?
Is there a list somewhere that shows all of the cross references to accessories from other models that work on the CS 9? I am thinking about grips, sights, magazines, etc. etc.? Same question goes for the 40 & 45 also....

Thanks for the help.

Sometimes, the real answer is that you have to go to an upper tier holster maker who has a mold, is willing to find a mold (which I would guess is not feasible now) or will use your pistol as a mold. I know at one time, Milt Sparks holsters would do the latter - they did it for me. (Sadly, I no longer have that pistol.) I have heard of a few others who will do so.

I regularly carry my CS9 in the same pair of Don Hume holsters I use for my 3914, 6904 and Shorty .40. They are mostly carried open on my hip at work (work in a Pawn Shop) not ITWB though.
I do own a De Santis Sof-Tuck 106NA8370 that I rarely use and have carried the CS 9 in it with no issues.
Have had no issues using the same holsters I use for both my 3914 and 6904 to carry my CS9.

I think that most holsters for a 3913 will fit; my feeling is that a CS9 is pretty much the exact same gun, but with a slightly shorter barrel and grip. I own a CS9, but not a 3913. So those of you who own both feel free to correct me.

If you look at this holster:

CrossBreed

...you can see it should fit a CS9 if those are the only differences.

I made my hybrid leather/kydex holster for my CS9. It was the first holster I ever made and easy and kinda fun. Could this be an opportunity for you to start a new related hobby?

Any other ideas on this? Has anyone purchased a Kydex for the 3913 or any other and tried it?

Thanks

I had FIST make me a custom kydex iwb holster and mag holder for my CS 45. I don't use the holster and you could try it out. If it fits I would sell it at a reasonable price. It cost $ 100 to have made, I used it once. You can also contact FIST and see if they could just make you one.

I just take the gun to Gander or LGS or whoever...
CLEAR BEFORE ENTERING STORE!
I leave the mag in the car, if I brought it at all, chamber tag in chamber,
and keep the pistol in a case...just to keep 'em happy.
(EDC is in the Thunderwear/Smartcarry anyway...LOL)

Anyway, I get an employee to assist at Gander, so nobody freaks out,
(never know when a Libtard is shopping for running gear)
and it just makes life easier...you get the emp to open the package,
you slip the pistol in for fit, and there ya go.

At LGS's, same thing, except they usually stay behind the counter...
and I bring the potential holsters to them...then check for fit.

I've noticed less problems at Gander with boxed weapons
than at other stores like Academy or other big box stores...
but it may be due to the relaxed Florida atmosphere ;)

Bump - still looking for info

Still looking for info on a hybrid IWB holster that fits the CS9. Anyone know what current easily available S&W Model kydex pocket fits the CS9? Some have said the 3913 but no one has confirmed they have tried it and it works.

Any info appreciated.

CS9 Holster

My CS9 fits very nicely into a leather Ted Blocker DA1 Holster that I purchased for my 3913TSW, a Ted Blocker leather Horizontal Shoulder Rig for the 3914, and I just recently bought an Alien Gear Kydex/Leather holster for a 3913 (also accepts the 3913TSW with rail) which the CS9 also fits very well into.

I don't know of anybody who makes a CS9 hybrid IWB. I know that some makers offer one for a 3913, but mold it from a different gun. Alien Gear sold me one using a 4" 4006TSW mold, which was too much for a 3913, let alone a CS9!

I thought that Crossbreed used to offer one for a 3913, so maybe check with him and see if he will still make one for you. Old Faithful Holsters also used to offer one.

I wound up making my own, but tried it out as an all-leather IWB. It's not perfect, but works just fine, and now I actually carry my CS9 a little more regularly.

Thanks for the confirmation on the 3913. I just ordered the AlienGear hybrid for the 3913. I will review as soon as it comes in.

A couple of really nice aspects of the Alien Gear holsters is that they lend themselves well to a bit of customizing, they even send you a bunch of extra screws and synthetic rubber posts. Also, they let you trade in the kydex shells anytime you want. I originally purchased the Alien Gear holster for a Beretta and then sent in the kydex shell and ask them to send me one for the 3913, I received the 3913 shell in just a few days.
