old 39-2
yesterday I picked up the 39-2 I had on hold. very nice condition and has the factory box with it. I hope to shoot it next week.

Wow! That's not a gun you just pick up every day. It's so rare to see one come up for sale. I grabbed one earlier this year, and didn't even know what it was when I bought it.

I have another one made 1972 and it is a wonderful shooter. this one I belive is 1980

Have one in my collection and it's a pleasant pistol to shoot and I've never had a problem with it! I consider that a true Smith & Wesson classic!

Now don't you go callin' that 39-2 old. Heck, I'm older than the oldest pre Model 39. They are great guns and it looks like you found yourself a particularly nice one. And congratulations on acquiring one of the best looking S&W semi-autos ever made. Some will argue that the Md 52 is the best, but whatever, they are fine, fine looking guns.
Hey, didn't I just read about you getting a Md 681? Dang, you are on a roll!

yes got the 681 last sunday at a gunshow from a hole in the wall dealer it was he only real gun he had. and Monday I picked up a Colt 357.

The reason the 52 looks so good is because it looks like a longslide 39.
