Help with CS45 box label question???????

I was looking at the box label on my CS45 and saw something that was interesting to me. On the far right of the label it reads:

45 SPECIAL ORDER CA
And below that
Product Code 148906

Any clue what the "Special Order CA" means???? I had someone look in the S&W book and Product Code 148906 was not listed???

I would suspect an LE gun ordered for a California agency. My 7 shot no rail from the factory 4513TSW was an LE special order for a New Jersey LE agency.

Its product code does not appear in the SCSW 3RD. I did post the info in the 4th edition thread, so maybe it will be updated.

But if that fine CS45 is screwing up the order of your collection, feel free to PM me a price shipped to NC and I will help you out.

Especially if it is ambi safety with metal Novak sights. That would fit right into whats left of my collection! Best regards, 18DAI
