I wouldn't.
At best they are 50/50. Even those that do work have a high chance of failure sooner rather than later. Why waste your $$$.

I'm not following what you mean. Promag not on what?
Everyone you see has Promag? Probably because everyone you see looks at the dollar figure. Penny wise dollar dumb. Save a few cents today, have it go bottom up tomorrow and spend again to buy another. Instead just buy a quality mag the first time. They are not that expensive. We are not talking about hundreds of dollars here. I'd rather have a mag I know is 100% with 8 rounds then take a chance on notoriously bad mags that hold 9.
Greg Cote LLC has 908 S&W mags for $34.
Midway, same price.

They have not improved. Don't know why it's not written. Maybe they skipped it accidentally or maybe it's a new cost saving option or maybe it's their new thing

Did you buy these directly from Pro Mag, or from a retailer?

I read somewhere that magazines are the cause of most malfunctions in semi-automatic pistols. Seems plausible. I've been lucky, I guess, but I take good care of them and in the future will chuck any magazine that seems to have a problem.
I had a Pro-Mag once for a P6 (e.g., P-225) and it worked okay, but it sure had a lighter spring than the stock Sig mags.
Pro-Mags may be okay for the range (I read a post once where someone said, yeah, they're good because they help you practice immediate action drills when your pistol jams) but they may not be as good an idea for carry. It might be worth experimenting with trying a replacement spring (e.g., OEM or Wolff) in a Pro-Mag, to see how that works. But by that time, I'd have spent more money than buying a factory mag or a Mec-Gar magazine in the first place. In any case, the practical test is that an item (magazine or whatever) works reliably repeatedly, so that you build confidence in it.
I recently bought a factory mag (new old stock, in a S&W package) for a 6906 that wouldn't load more than three rounds... the "finger" on the bottom of the follower would catch in one of the two magazine release notches in the tube. A little re-shaping of the "finger" has turned it into a reliable magazine, so far, but I want to keep an eye on it. So back to the idea of proving an item by confidence developed through regular use.

I've ordered one genuine S&W mag for a 909. Happy to pay $35 for reliability.
For my 908s, I've had really good luck at my LGS orphan mag bin. The 908 take the same mags as a 3913 so they're (seemingly) generally more common. Plus I only paid $15 apiece for these.
IMHO, spring for the S&W mags. Even if you pay full retail. They just work.

Guess I don't know what you mean by this...all my factory mags work perfectly. How do you get better?

A good question might be how this famously bad manufacturer stays in business. I mean, it isn't like they could ever get any repeat orders from the same person who bought even one of their magazines.

kenny brooks,
What is your life worth? Would you trust your life on that one good one when you have had a lot of bad ones?
