Hello everyone, new the forum as well as Smith and Wesson. Just picked up an old police issue S&W 4043. I absolutely love the feel and look of these old semi-autos. Its in great condition for its age but, does show a little wear.
I was curious as to if anyone has done or seen any custom builds of these guns? any re-anodized frames, custom grips?
I was also curious as to if the backstrap and grips from the 952 will fit this frame with some minor mods.
I added a "crimson trace" red-dot to mine.All the wires,battery,etc are all inside the grip including the new grip.
I like it as it is used for night intruders while watching late tv programs.
My older "riot duty" shot gun is next to the headboard.
It is an old Smith & Wesson shotgun I carried in my patrol duties.
