If anyone has been looking for one of these elusive items for the 59/459/559/659 recently, there is a BIN listing on Ebay at a decent price with two items left. Search "59 arched".

Yes, those were a factory optional accessory, IIRC made of plastic.
I have big hands and find the Model 59 large in the hand, that backstrap is going to make it even bigger.

Wasn't sure about the posting rules, and since I'm all ready "bad"
about vaguely mentioning an item on auction, I didn't post about
this. I got one last week, and it is great. Of course it's a drop in
fit. This seller is excellent. Really nice guy. Cool stuff offered.
