Default 457 upgrades

Can anyone provide part numbers for the metal guide rod and metal mag catch upgrades to rid this gun of the plastic pieces, thanks in advance.

The link that torizus provided to Midway shows a 457 recoil guide rod, S&W #239870000. In the S&W parts catalog that item# is only listed for the 457s so I believe that part is likely the same as the original, plastic.

If you want a metal guide rod I believe one for a 4516 will work. Do not get one for a 4516-1 though as it's the larger diameter guide rod for that single recoil spring revision. The 457 uses the smaller diameter guide rod for the dual/nested recoil springs, which the other 4516s (-0, & -2) use too, and is metal (S&W #108620000).
