Default 1911 E Series barrel gouge??
Hello, I just purchased a brand new E Series. During it's first pre range cleaning I noticed a metal shaving fall out of the barrel. Upon inspecting the barrel I noticed this gouge shown in picture. I'm pretty sure this isn't normal and was hoping for some input. Thank you

Nope not normal. That looks pretty bad. I would think that S&W will replace that barrel - no questions asked.
