I could not fit it into my boot, would not work and I have owned a 3913. Too many other micro 9s out there that conceal better. Just few are the
.38/ 357 wheel gun SW
Micro XD 9
Ruger LC9
Kimber Solo II
just to name a few. Actually think I could conceal the Browning Hi Power better than I could the 3913.
Just yesterday, I found not one but TWO 3913's in a local pawn shop here in Montana! Too bad I don't have a wheelbarrel load of extra cash!!

I have a 6906 which is a great shooter. I've carried it in the past, but I'm more prone to carry a single stack now that I have some. I also have a 3953, which shoots well, but I have yet to carry.
I saw a listing tonight for a 3953TSW at a LGS I've done business with. I think it's over priced, so I probably won't even go up to look at it. OTOH, if it's a pre rail, I might have to go and look at it and see what their cash price is.

No interest in it either really. The XD is too new. Let em work out the bugs, if any. Also no interest in hammer fired. Nothing against it, just no interest in one.
Same goes for the 39XX. Nothing there to get excited over. And if I did go for a single stack it would probably be there PPS

You must have an interesting shape. With the Browning's barrel being 1 1/4" longer, an exposed, cocked hammer, and thicker and longer grip, please...enlighten us. How so?

I was not unimpressed: I predict a whole Sprinklefield line of XDE-type pistols... Full-sized & Compacts, adjustable grip swells, NO GRIP SAFETY!
Always thought the SIG 2022 was the true affordable "sleeper" (albeit a FULL-SIZED sleeper!) in the SIG catalogue: a poly frame and the SA/DA action up top.

Also had to add that the claim that they "re-invented the hammer" is a bit pretentious, IMHO: I believe it was Og the Caveman that 1st re-invented the hammer when he figured out how to mount it on a handle and vastly improved the dynamics! Just ask that cave lion skin hanging on the wall of the cave...?

The BHP was my first handgun I ever bought. It is my favorite. It is flatter than any 3rd gen 9mm I have seen, and with the commander round anti snag hammer it is not that bad. Plus it has a rest cock position which allows you to cock as you draw the weapon.
I went down this path of the 6906 double stack then a 3913tsw but none of them really fit my hand well and they would not conceal very easily. The SA/DA is nice to use in a conceal but my conceal weapons are all Sigs. A 357 Sig can do so much more than the typical 9mm even in +P. I have a stand 9mm Swiss Sig police gun as well. Smith and Wesson makes an excellent third generation pistol but they are weak sauce compared to the the 40xx series they make. I love my Shorty 40, and compared to the 39xx series it will make you never want to shoot anything else.
I honestly think the 9mm Smiths are just an offering for them to say they make a 9mm. The real advantages of the third generation handguns comes into play once you get into the 40 caliber or even one of their magnificent 10mm units. That is when you really can tell the difference, and what the heavy third generation pistols were made to do.

If S&W hadn't been trying to compete with Gloque, and instead competed with itself, they might have developed a polymer version of their boat-anchor (I say that lovingly) 3rd Gen series. They could have made a polymer 3913, but I can't imagine it would save any weight, only cost.
I posted something similar to this a few months ago and was roundly criticized by a couple of members. You made me feel better! 
If you think about it though, a polymer framed 3913 would make sense for civilian, if not LE use. Although there are certainly a LOT more polymer framed LE guns made by S&W, Block, and others these days.

Beretta just lost their contract so we'll see how long the 92 remains.
CZ is made I a different country with different raw material prices and wages.
Sig is loosing to itself. Many departments are replacing their old P series with the 320 or something else. As orders fall off so may the guns.
