The Smith & Wesson “Model 2206 Champion” is a customized 2206TGT model for the European target shooting market. The exported pistol was basically a 2206TGT delivered from Smith & Wesson to WISCHO in Germany. Once at WISCHO, the 2206TGT was billboarded/engraved “Model 2206 Champion” and had a set of Nill grips added. WISCHO was stamped just above the trigger guard on the left-hand side of the pistol, and proof marks were added to the frame (left trigger guard), barrel, and the top of the slide. When imported back into the US, an import mark must be added to the pistol, in these examples the mark was discreetly added to the bottom of the side plate.
