Very nice! I really like the color of those square cut grips and the mag-well.

That’s is a fine looking 1911. I really like look of the stainless frame and slide with the black accents. How does it shoot?

I have the same gun and added some Wilson Combat accessories - magwell, extended oversize magazine release, extended slide stop and ambidextrous safety - plus a Recover Tactical Grip and Rail System as well as their "holster" into which the gun fits. Along with a Streamlight TLR-1, it makes for a very complete carry handgun.

Love S&W 1911's, living in Cali. we are not allowed to buy new. Was lucky to find one the last one's to come in before S&W stopped paying the extortion fee....

Love it, I have the "E" too!
Certainly not trying to hi-jack the thread, but I did the same thing with my Colt LW Enhanced Officers and thought you'd enjoy looking at it.
I love Wilson Combat.
I replaced all the internals with Wilson Combat bullet proof along with their titanium firing pin.
I didn't wanna machine my slide, so I went with the EGW FLGR system and hand fit an oversized Clark end plug and then added a Stan Chen one piece SI Magwell.
Only thing left is my night sites and have them installed, leaning towards the Wilson Combat compact tritium's.
This is my EDC gun.
And now because we love pictures around here.

Why would you buy a machine and throw all the "guts" away and replace with aftermarket "guts"? Are you aware that S&W has been making guns for over 100 years? You think they use inferior parts? If so why didn't you buy another brand?
Why would you take a new Hemi engine, drop in a larger cam, ported heads, SS headers and exhaust, build a bullet proof bottom end and re-gear it then bring it all together with a tuner?
Maybe, just to make it perform better than stock? lol :D

Lol, oh come on!
I'm not the one that did it. I do have an "E" Commander and love it bone stock down to the grips, wouldn't touch a thing on that one.
However, I did the same thing to a Colt Officers for daily carry, and it shot fine before hand, I just wanted it to be basically "unbreakable" for EDC.
I have to admit, it runs better and smoother now. Accuracy has always been good for a 3.5" barrel though.

I have a 1911 that the previous owner sent to Wilson Combat. It had a trigger job, reliability package, match barrel and bushing and it was black Armour coated. It came to me in a Wilson Combat gun bag with the receipt from Wilson Combat for the work. It was stainless steel to begin with. The previous owner didn't like it being shiny. Then he got hard up for money and sold it to me for $1000. It shoots great, is totally reliable and must be indestructible with the coating over stainless. I always carry it if it is raining that day. We have a new Chief who is not thrilled with me carrying a revolver. I guess I am going to have to switch to 1911s completely. I have several including two engraved ones. One is a Kimber Diamond Grade and the other is a S&W 1911 100th Anniversary. I like putting fancy grips on the 1911s. You can't see the engraving much when it is in the holster, but you can sure see those grips. I wish I knew how to post pictures without having to pay some service.

Looks outstanding! As for the mods I think someone can do whatever they want to THEIR gun and don't need my permission. The only thing that stuck out to me is that I would pay $$ to have the ambi safety removed! I generally don't like them but that's just me. Lefty's and others will have a different take and that's fine...again, not my gun.

Here's my only two 1911's along with some 3rd gens I "fixed" those pesky ambi safeties on. (The 1911Sc still has the ambi!)

I just picked up my first 1911 and it's the S&W E Series . Mine will stay the factory original. Maybe switch out sights to adjustable and fiber front. Mine is more for the collection and an occasional range trip. I was going to get a Range Officer but I couldn't pass up the deal.

When you're typing a reply, in the task bar at the top you'll see a "paper clip", click on that and it opens a "browser" window and you can navigate to your pictures on your computer. Select and hit "upload" on the right of your browser window. You can load up to 5 I think?
I load all mine from my computer, I won't use a image service either.
Now post a picture of that Wilson/Colt!

168 years to be exact!
