Looking at a 4566 in good condition, comes with 4 mags and 50 rounds of ammo. What do you all think of the asking price of 599.00? Is this inline with today's market ? Thanks

The ammo alone is worth that today! lol
Really, that's about at the top IMO.

Sounds like a good deal. Pre-panic price for a good Smith 3rd Gen .45 especially an "Officers" size was $500 and up. With 2 additional magazines and some ammo I'd do that deal everyday of the week. Would I try to get a discount? On every deal I do.

In Kalifornistan that would be a steal. I'd be on it.

Thanks for the price help, it has gone to 736.00, a little rich for me!

I sold my VGC 4566 with two mags two weeks ago for $ 550. I thought that was a fair price. You can still find them for decent prices, just keep looking.

That price makes me feel good about the $400 I paid for mine two years ago. It also makes me feel okay about the $999 I just paid for a minty 4506 no dash a few days ago off Gunbroker. I'd been looking for one locally for some time and had just about given up. The no dash gun I'd found locally three years ago was the only one i'd seen in years. I was surfing Gunbroker when the second one popped up. I had been watching several others and they all jumped past 1k pretty quickly. There's a -1 going right now with a high bid of $1325 and a couple of days to go on the auction. This one had a buy now price of $999, so I decided to carpe diem that sucker for my first online gun buy. My youngest son just bought a minty 5906 from a shop in Virginia for just over $700.

Prices are crazy right now and hopefully things will level out in the future, but I think we've seen the last of decent examples going for $300-$400.

If I read that correctly; a 4506 for $1325! Wow, I have one in excellent condition that came with a DeSantis OWB holster, extra set of brand new stock grips, unboxed custom KSD grips and 4 mags for $500 less than a year ago. Regardless, I wouldn't sell it for even $1325 today, they're just too hard to come by in this kind of condition.

That one is being offered with five extra mags, but still..................

The one i jusr paid $999 for came with two mags. That was more than i wanted to pay. However, given the current environment i doubted I'd find one for less. The no dash iI picked up three years ago came with five extra mags, for $500. I haven't found anything close to that since.

I'm currently watching three or four others on Gunbroker, for the sake of curiosity. I'm sure they'll all go for over 1k.

A 4506 sold for $629 at a Cabelas, along with some other 3rd gen .45 acp guns. It was the second 4506 I saw them offer online for mid-$600. I bought a 4566TSW from the same batch of guns. An extra couple mags are worth maybe $100~120 max. I posted pics in another thread not so long ago:
