Welcome to the Forum,
What does it say on the end of the box lid? Is there a label? Looks like a aftermarket Hard Chrome or Armoloy finish to me. S&W didn't nickel plate triggers which would be a red flag on your Model 41. Only a S&W Historical letter will tell what finish was on it when it left the factory. I would post the pistol in a regular thread below, it will get more views and more comments.
