Default Had to order new sights tonight for the shorty .40

Bought this one a couple weeks back and first time out it was shooting way low ( good 6 inches at 20). Found that the rear sight screw was loose so took her back tightened it up but she still was shooting low even raised all the way up ( original LPA adjustable here) . On further inspection and comparison to the photo of the identical MK 3 Cherries has here ( http://www.cherrys.com/stokpics/35815rau.jpg )you can see the rear blade is bent on one corner and the entire assembly tweeked beyond repair.

Best guess the pistol was dropped at some point dead on the rear sight.
Ordered this replacement tonight.

I can't see the damage you mention, but please let us know when you get the new ones installed and if the problem is corrected.

My camera is not so hot for extreme close ups but you can see the shiny area on the corner of the sight blade in these 2 photos. Pretty good ding right on the left blade corner where the impact was and the entire sight is bent down and the back edge rolled backwards.

I have the same model, but haven't shot it yet. I'm assuming it regulates just fine.

PSI sent the wrong rear sight but it was a blessing in disguise. Today had the smith at the shop where I bought it look at it and the rear sight had gotten jammed after the drop on the lip at the rear of the slide. We got it loose and she dialed in well afterwards. On another note the owner knows I'm into 3rd gens so pulled me over to show me one. I wound up bringing home a nice CS 9 today also. When I got the CS9 I looked hard at the mag and suddenly realized that there was mint one sitting in the case at the Pawn Shop I work in. Drove straight over and walked out with a mint CS 9 mag for a grand total of get this $5. Been a purty good day I would say
