CSX trigger job and pull weight

I purchased my CSX in December 2022, and immediately put up a disassembly video on to the other S&W forum. I had already shot it, I was not to pleased with the accuracy of the firearm. I have seen several videos and postings of decent accuracy being delivered by the CSX platform. So, on quest to try to achieve that somewhat decent accuracy, I know it’s relative as everyone is different, I field strip the gun down to the every single piece that could be hone and polished and got the trigger pull down to 4lbs 2oz with my Lyman digital trigger pull scale and about 4lbs on my RCBS spring pull gauge. I have not shot it yet, but have completely gotten rid of the false reset. I’m normally shooting 1911s, S&W k frame revolvers and my accuracy is pretty good with those pistols. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong with my CSX and I do plenty of dry firing exercises at home so I think I have the fire and finger control down. Any suggestions would be helpful, my poi and poa are way off and was thinking of shooting it in a ransom machine rest to take out the human aspect of the shooting. I really want this pistol to be great at 7 yds as my M&P shield 9mm 1st edition is a tack driver at that range. They’re the same barrel length but different fire control groups. Please let me hear from other CSX owners who are struggling or having success with shooting decent groups and what is your approach to gun handling and ammo used in your pistol.

I would love details on doing trigger work on the CSX. Accuracy with the gun itself is good, but the trigger interferes.
Is there any info/video on doing trigger work?

Have you watch my disassembly video, that’ll get you started but please be careful when removing the hammer assembly from the frame cause the small spring on the fire indicator will sail away so you have to secure it with you finger will removing the hammer assembly.

Have you shot it with your wrists braced over a bag or some kind of rest? That's what I do to try and take me out of the accuracy equation.

I changed the grip and managed to get better accuracy and I’m happy with the results

Disassemble the part inside of a clear plastic bag. It will greatly assist in "finding" the spring if it decides to take a "sail".

No More Smith & Wesson

BEWARE of S&W CSX.

I needed a small replacement spring for a CSX. Unlike in the past, S&W now makes finding customer service/parts contact information an ordeal.

Finally contacted someone by email and was told the part was out of stock and to check with Midway and other aftermarket sources. No luck there either. Weeks later, after much complaining, they finally sent a spring, but it was the wrong part, even though I had sent a photo.

After more waiting I contacted them again and finally get an email saying spring is "restricted" and I have to send entire gun to factory to replace a $2 part.

That's just silly. After 50 years, no more S&W for me.

Smith and Wesson F.... Off.
