Looks like UAF is a very late production, near the end.
Supposedly the stopped making them in 1996.
Nice 422 - mine is from around 1988/89, it has a TCL prefix. I had a dovetail machined in the frame for a fiber optic front sight. I love mine and it shoots very well.

Nice. I shot mine today and I'm not crazy about the front sight.
In bright sun the top edge of the sight blade can get a glare and kind of blur. A dot like yours might be nice.
PS. There are mags on eBay for even less.
I used paint on the front sight before I put the fiber optic sight on.
