Has any one replaced their factory sights with the XS Sights DXT2 Big Dot Sights? At my age I really like having a big dot front sight and I usually use the Trijicon HD sights but that is not an option on the CSX. I've only used the XS Sights on a Kahr P380 and they are perfect for that little belly gun.

I've got Big Dots on my Shield but not on the CSX. Probably won't bother on the CSX, I don't find the sights too bad.

CSX DXT2 Big Dot Night Sights

I installed mine about 3 weeks ago. Their installation video is somewhat misleading in that they don't really show any fitting required for the rear sight but if you watch closely you'll see that skipped over on the rear but showed it in detail for the front.

The dovetail's base on the front & rear DXT2 sights each measured ~.010" wider (front-back measurement) than the factory sight's dovetail which would imply each would require similar amount of fitting but that's not what I found.

The front required a lot of filing to get it to fit 1/3 of the way in the dovetail & then was a snug fit to center.

The rear, for some reason, very quickly changed from too tight to a not very tight fit so make sure you go slow on it. It has a set screw & a center notch for it to tighten in to so it's still plenty secure.

Their video shows to add the supplied red threadlocker after the sights are fitted. I didn't see a need for that step plus wouldn't you use a wicking/penetrating green threadlocker for after assembly use if that was needed?

.

They are definitely easier to see.

One item of note, since the new rear sight doesn't have a traditional notch in it, only the night sight insert to align with the front sight, the front sight has to be fully in view above the rear sight so the POA = POI.

At the distance of 10-13yds that I usually shoot this at the Big Dot needs to cover the bullseye for proper sighting, no 6 o'clock hold like the factory sights. Getting used to keeping the Big Dot fully above the rear sight took me some getting used to.

PS: while you have the factory rear sight removed you might want to take the time to remove the firing pin and clean the firing pin's channel.

The CSX's firing pin stop can only be remove by sliding it up (not down like a 1911) which can only be done with the rear sight removed.

I put the DXT2 Big Dot Sights on my CSX about 3 months ago, and I love them. I find it is quicker to line up the big dot, then with the 3-dot sight. It still draws smoothly from my pocket.

Put the XS Big Dot tridium night sight on this S&W M649, a Glock 36 and Beretta Nano. Added Dawson night sights to a CZ75 P01.

Should probably have some on others, as they are a great help.
