Default 669???

First off, I'm a wheel gun guy and not the semi-auto type. Secondly, I don't own any 9mm's either....but, there's a 669 locally for sale, that the owner says has only been shot at the factory. It's in its original box, with all the goodies, 2-12 round mags and a nice leather holster for $400. Something tells me that I should probably go look at it, but am not familiar with the 669. Any thoughts on the 669, good or bad?

I had a 669 years ago and it is one of the few semis I've had over the years that ran flawlessly. I literally never had a malfunction the years I had it and I shot it a lot. Can't speak for the price but these days that seems pretty reasonable to me.

The Model 669 is a nice compact high capacity 9mm and the price with box and goodies seems very reasonable. I always check on the on line auctions to see what guns are currently selling for .

I have trouble imagining that any ANIB 1st, 2nd or 3rd Gen isn’t a bargain at $400.

Were I in the market and assuming the thing really is in good condition I would have no problem paying that for one. I actually own one, surplus from Indiana state police (I think) that was never issued out. Runs very nicely.

I had a 469 when they hit the market. Brushed nickel with blue controls. I liked everything about it except that I couldn't hit with it. Went back to my 39. Probably hand size/shape. YMMV. If that was available at that price near me I'd try again.

I have the 3rd gen 6906. It is my daily carry. The 669 is very similar. $400.00 for a 669 in basically unused condition with the box, mags is an pretty good deal even without the holster. In my opinion anyway. I started with S&W revolvers 45 years ago. It would be a good pistol to transition from revolvers to autos as well. And before you ask, yes I am very good at spending other people's money!
