Never seen one. Looks commander sized. Or maybe shorter.

Officer sized model. Still on the S&W website. You don't see them often in the wild.

What's not to love! Gorgeous pistol. They don't get much prettier or better than that.

Better looking than the Ruger Officer.
If the Smiths or Colts were all steel & blued,
I would have bought a new one.
So, I made the Ruger Zombie Ugly.

45 or 9 OP?
Forgot which holsters but will check.

I was hoping that there would be some specific responses too. I’m always looking for a high condition used one as I like sub compacts. Someone has to have one to comment about. Guess it’s up to you for a review once you get it and shoot it.

They are actually shorter, (and obviously lighter,) than the Officer. They are almost exactly the same spec wise as the Defender 45. S&W states that they are between the “main production and the PC” offerings, (not sure what that means,) and they look like it. Factory upgrades, no plastic trigger or mainspring housing as compared to the Defender. Looks like there isn’t anything you’d need to replace/improve, again unlike the Defender. I’m wondering about the S&W fact about the “10 lb trigger” though. Maybe replace/tune the sear spring?

I like my Defender now and I liked getting it to where it is. I replaced most internals and a few externals with my go do parts to get it acceptable for me. Something you probably shouldn’t have to do with a new pistol.

I was fortunate to find an excellent pre-loved 945-1 while searching for a 3” Pro Series. A bit bigger w/3 1/4” barrel, just 6 rnds, PC and cheaper than the Pro Series that I saw. Recoil springs will be an issue.

Jim
