3953 for 30-1
Been eyeballing my buddy’s 3953 for a while, but he wouldn’t cut loose with her, until last week. He finally capitulated after I threw my 3” 30-1 on the table. We’re both happy with the deal. The deal included 5 new holsters.

Blade Tech 4” k

Looks like you scored a nice deal from your friend! Yesterday I was out browsing my LGS's. I saw a 3953TSW in excellent condition, with box and a spare magazine for $400 dollars. I passed, because I have my sights set on another unicorn, at a different shop.

Great grab. My 3953 was issued gun and became mine in retirement. I picked up a new Alesi holster and two mags as a package here on the forum. Just shot it for my LEOSA qualification. Great shooter. Hogue grips make it feel much better.

Good deal , but then I'm partial to the 30-1 . My first I bought for the wife and then I found one nib . The 3953TSW I found on another forum , I didn't pay much because it was in sad shape . I had it sent straight to guzzitaco and he went through it and made his namesake " PC cuts ." Although I'm not one much for DAO , this thing has grown on me , it fits perfectly in my hand and accuracy is pretty good .

I’ll double check. I just assumed both kydex paddles were blade tech, since safariland holsters are injection molded.

That's a great deal. I paid more than that for a 3953TSW with nothing besides the gun. That was my last purchase before we fled the People's Republic of Massachusetts.

My older 3953 is my daily carry, excepting trips to Baltimore when a Glock 19 fills in. I agree with Baxter that the Hogue grips make it more pleasant to shoot. Old Alessi Talon holster fits the bill for me.

Congratulations on a nice trade. If you enjoyed shooting the 30-1, then you'll enjoy your newly acquired 3953 too.
The 3953 trigger reminds me of the 19-4 that I carried on the job for nearly 25 years. Smooth.
I like DAO pistols for EDC, because there is no momentary "what-ifs" or manual of arms manipulations if needed in a crisis situation. I've used one of my four 3953s for years as my most often carried weapon.
The 3953 was a used police pistol, N.P.D. #188, that I bought off a forum member. It is a great shooter! It likes to ride in a IWB Don Hume H715-M WCS holster.
The others were low bid rescues from GB, and spend most of their time in silicone socks resting in my gun safe along with the no-rail 3953TSW.
Enjoy!
