Default 1006. Pulled the trigger (finally).

Welp.

I hope I chose well, because i just picked up a CHP 1006 that looks to be dirty LNIB. I can’t seem to recall if there was anything special about this run of 650. Does anyone have any knowledge?

Can’t wait to get it in my hands next to a 4506-1.

As far as I know, other than the engraving, it's a fixed-sight 1006, a run directed at S&W collectors since CHP never issued this model for duty use. They pop up on GB from time to time.

No doubt, though, at least a few of these CHP 1006s were privately purchased by CHP officers.

The 1006 is always a solid choice. California Highway Patrol? Retired CA LEO and didn’t know CHP 1006s existed. Interesting.
