Default 3rd Gen Slide Stop Assembly Question

What is the correct factory part # for the slide stop assembly (SSA) on the 4506/4566/4576 pistols versus the factory part # for the SSA on the 1006/1066/1076 pistols?

For reference, one source I found lists “230740000” as the part # or sku for the SSA on 45XX guns. I haven’t found a reference for the same part on the 10XX-series guns.

Anyone know? Thanks in advance?

Numrich shows both 4506 and 1006 have the same part number - 1646400

The slide stop assemblies for the .45 and 10mm are the same.

Yes, but that’s Numrich’s internal part #, not the official S&W factory part number.

I’m trying to determine if S&W used the same SSA on both 45XX- and 10XX- series guns, or if they were different. In which case the SSA on the 10XX-series guns should have a different part #.

Exactly, that is Numrich's part number totally useless for us.

For the listed model 4566TSW, the SSA is part # 209910000, while for the M1066 the same part is listed as # 23074000, which is also the SSA # for the M1006.

Hmmm? So doesn’t that indicate they are somehow different parts? Or, since the 10XX-series guns were discontinued circa 1992 maybe the SSA # listed for the 1006/1066 is an old stock number no longer used circa 2012, and the SSA for the 4566 is actually the same as used on the discontinued 10XX guns?

Or were parts for the TSW guns in 2012 just numbered differently than earlier/predecessor model?

The 4566TSW used a blackened SSA which would account for the different part number.
