Good day. First post and I'm thankful to have found this forum.

I'm an owner of a 659 Stainless. I acquired a spare slide and barrel for it just because it was available, not because I needed it. (sound familiar?)
The slide on the firearm was equipped with the rear adjustable sight with the high wall and I can say it wasn't my favorite.

Reading thru the posts on this forum I discovered a member of this forum named William Weir BMCM who happened to do gunsmithing. The spare slide was a standard fixed front sight with the low profile rear and it was my second least favorite.
( the other firearms I own are all 3 dot sights) To make a long story short, I sent the spare slide to BMCM and had him remove the fixed front and machine a new dovetail for a SA04 Trijicon front and fit the rear from the set, as the rear dovetail needs a little tweaking for installation.

I received the slide back from Bill and the work is outstanding and the pricing was more than reasonable. If you are contemplating any machine work, or any other smithing on your firearm, I would encourage you to consider this member for the
work. Fast,competent and a great communicator.

If you want to be extra impressed, ask BMCM to post pictures of the job and you will be rewarded with his skills at photographing and detailing the work that he did!

A lot of us have used Bill , he's our go-to gunsmith here . Do a search and look at what he did to my 745 . He also converted my CS40 to 10mm which ended up being a work of art . He included a target on which he wrote the ammo , temp , all sorts ion info . How many gunsmiths would take a project that far and at a reasonable price ? Bill , that's who !

And after. Since the steel under there is kinda thin, I made the cut a close slip fit and secured the sight with high strength retaining compound (Loctite 680)...
