Default Victory owners in here?

I like my .22 pistols. I have a nice variety, including a 41 & 22A-1 (bull bbl & target grips).

But I rarely see a thread on the Victory line. Low sales numbers? Bad gun I don't know about? Is it another one of the many Smiths that just never quite caught on?

For those who have them, what do you not like about them? I would think the aftermarket offerings are fairly slim on options, but I haven't honestly looked at any.

Lastly, will they out-shoot my Buckmarks?

Tandemkross has ton of aftermarket options, Slide rackers, reddot bases, triggers, extractors, FP's, mag bumpers and 2 different barrel options.

I pretty much tricked mine out with their stuff...

Like the OP, I have a Model 41 and a Model 22A-1 Talo Edition. I have almost bought a PC Victory several times but then I read another discouraging thread about them in this Forum. From being in the service industry, I know we will always read more bad reports than good ones - it's just human nature - but I'm still a skeptic. Of course, we see a lot of negative posts about Model 22As, too...

I really like my Victory and can't really think of anything I don't like about it. The sights and trigger are great and I really enjoy shooting it. It eats any ammo I've fed it. My granddaughter liked it so much she wanted one for her 21st birthday so I bought her one and now we both go to the range and shoot ours whenever we get the chance. S&W has sold a ton of them and do a search here and you can see what the members here have to say about theirs.

Ok, when I first started reading about the Victory it didn't really appeal to me as a necessarily good looking handgun. Yes, it offered a lot of features for a good price, but it just didn't really turn me on. Then I started to read reviews from owners and it started to peak my interest. Then I made a visit to Brownell's show room which is only 20 some miles from me and they had a special on them of $100 off retail, so $299 sounded like a heck of a deal so I bought one. Brought it home and took it out to shoot, and I liked it. Shot well, no hick ups, was accurate, and I liked it. Also, there was some good aftermarket goodies available, I tend to be a tinkerer. Tandemkross trigger, halo, Bullseye grips, and hey, I'm liking it. It's one of my favorites to take out and shoot.
I forgot to mention one other add on that I really like a lot. It's a replacement recoil spring made by Tandemkross and it's a captured spring, it keeps the spring from flying off the spring guide when you disassemble the pistol for cleaning, makes the reassembly process much easier.

If I remember correctly, you made these grips yourself. That is some really good work on your part, I really like them!

I love my Victory. I took it to the local Steel Challenge match yesterday.

I have both a Victory and a 22A. My 22A was pretty used and abused when i got it and I definitely had some reliability issues with it. But once I replaced the recoil spring, recoil spacer, and extractor spring it improved dramatically. I also found it to be a bit more finicky with ammo than the Victory. As long as I stick with something like CCI SV it is very reliable. It is incredibly accurate. I can't imagine me shooting any better with a 41 than the 22A.

Aside from an early trip back to the mothership for an issue with the magazine retention spring, I've had zero issues with the Victory. It is a great gun.

I understand totally what you are saying here. I have owned several model 41 pistols, and when shooting them it was just a special experience, but I had several other pistols that I could shoot just as well. I no longer own my model 41's, I shoot my Victory and a couple of Ruger MKII Target pistols and thoroughly enjoy shooting them.
