About 15 years ago I bought a NIB model 41 short barrel for $250 from someone needing money. (Yes, I feel guilty) I finally took it out shooting today and I had 1-2 rounds per magazine that failed to fire. It ejected the previously fired case and picked and chambered a new round from the magazine, but the hammer was not cocked or reset. I thought maybe the trigger overtravel screw was too tight and not allowing the trigger to reset. I backed off on it some and it seemed to help. Am I on the right track ????? Is there any way to check without going to the range and firing the gun
