Factory porting to control that horrible recoil from the 9mm. Wow! Just when I thought that the Sharper Image catalog was the only place left one could go looking for a solution to a non-existent problem. Certainly ejecting hot gases up into the general direction of your eyes and face (if you are in speed rock, which all of you point shooters doubtless use all the time) seems like a bad idea. Ports are a pretty good idea on a .50 BMG though!

IIRC these were originally a fair amount more price-wise than the standard Sigma E-series pistols available at the time. Combined with the ports being relatively useless on a 9mm there weren't too many sold. I almost bought a 40P recently but shipping was prohibitively expensive.

Shawn,I didn't need a foolish comment if you can't answer the question.

I always liked the way those ported models looked...the polished/melonite slide really makes the Sigma look great. If I got one I'd probably just get a nonported replacement barrel and have a really cool looking pistol.

Matt, I'll probably fire it once and add it to my two other Sigmas I have a SW357V (I've had three at once in the past) and a SW40V with and exrta SW357V barrel. The SW9P is the best looking of the three.
Thanks Again Matt.
