Well, I picked up my latest 3913 ( Latest 3913)and have now had a chance to disassemble, clean, inspect, lube and reassemble it. Here it is alone and with its stablemates (lower left).
[Edit] Wow, it looks like a keeper.

Very nice. Noticed your pre-rail TSW. Does your pinky have a place to grab or is it a two finger grip? Does it feel different than the rest of your 3913s?

You've given me a case of 3913 envy; I only have two since my daughter stole the third one. I especially like the 'factory shaved' slide stop and safety. Nice find...

It's basically a two finger grip, but the the pinky tucks nicely underneath the grip/magazine base. Yes, it does feel a little different, not worse, just different. It's quite accurate and I like very much.

Nice shooting 3913. I gave my Mother my frist one a number of years ago for personal protection. She told me this summer she doesn't like shooting it. She shoots my M15 better. Think I may have to trade with Mom. I have one again but two would be nice.

Is there a rule somewhere about hoarding? I only have one. But a lovely group anyway.

As a matter of fact, there is such a rule. IIRC, the limit on 3913 pistols is four, but only two for the 3913TSW pre-rail. So, I can still buy one each and not violate the rule.

Disassemble
Recently acquired a 3913. I have a basic question, I am having trouble disassembling. Difficult to hold the slide with one hand while trying to remove the pin with the other. What am I doing wrong?? Thanks

The way I do it is..... Hold pistol in left hand with thumb in trigger guard ahead of trigger.....pull the slide back to the disassembly notch and then hold it in position over the slide with your fingers....then pop out release from the other side. Some can be tricky to catch "just the right spot" for the pin to come out easily. If needed , use a sharpie cap or plastich base on mag to push it out without damaging the finish.

I had the same trouble with Third Gens. Check out this thread; there were some good ideas on here.
