Hey guys. I have a 1006 and I am wanting a 1076. I have never handled one, is the de-cocker a pretty smooth action like a Sig or is it kind of clumsy/stiff. It looks like such a scabbed on feature I am curious if it functions well. Any replies would be appreciated. Thanks, happy shooting!!!!

My 1026 (same as 1076 with longer barrel) decocker works just as well as those on my Sigs. I might say that it is even a slight bit smoother.
I think that it looks a little glued on because of the way they had to tuck it in under the slide lock lever, yet still make it accessible. The designers probably could have done a better job with the actual thumb knob (i.e. a little drop, down and out, on the lever end finished with serrations), but they might have thought it would get in the way.

The 1026 1076 decocker works fine. I have carried the 1076 as a daily carry for the last couple of years. You will like it.

Mine worked as well as that on any SIG-Sauer I've ever had (several).

The de-cocker on my 1076 works very smooth. I like it better than the de-cockers on my Sigs.
