I got your PM and tried to respond, got a failure notice from my ISP. I don't know if you got my other message either. I've copied the text of what I sent below:
Milton,
I will be honest with you, while the 952 is an absolute joy to shoot it is a very frustrating pistol to learn to reassemble. I suppose after you have done it several dozen times it can be done with your eyes closed. The problem is getting the magazine disconnect in the slide to retract up into the slide. I have found that when the pistol is ready to reassemble, and the slide is slid on to the rails the levers adjacent to the hammer must be depressed. The slide then can be pushed over them, however, at this time flip the safety off and insert a magazine into the frame while depressing the "grip safety". If you have aligned the moon and stars with the sun it should slide onto the frame far enough to push the slide stop into place. It seems as though one needs four hands to perform this task. There are times when all slides into place the first time and there are times when I have cursed my self silly trying to get it to slide into place. That being said, I would not trade the 952 for the world. I am a dyed in the wool 1911 person. My next favorite platform is the 52, 952 and the 39. It is too bad that S&W never made the 39 series in a 45 ACP. What a great gun that would be. An old dear friend warned me not to ever hold a 952 in my hands because I would not be satisfied till I owned one. He was absolutely right. If you haven't gotten one yet, get one while you can. I'm not sure how long they will be available. The 952 is the finest pistol I own. I hope this is helpful. Contact me anytime if I can be of assistance.
