Hi:
Have a NIB Model 645 that I tested at the range this A.M.
Ammo:
1. Remington 230 gr. FMJ.
2. Sellier & Bellot FMJ
3. Federal .230gr. Hydra-Shok JHP

Range- 50ft

1. 3" below POA
2. POA
3. 3" below POA

Same weight bullets.
Windage the same for all three.

could the Remington and Federal be a tad hotters which would account for the lower hits?

My S&W 645 shoots+/- 1.5 to 2 inches for POI with various loads at 50 ft. Some of my reloads shoot to point of aim other either lower or higher.

The sights may well be regulated for 25 yards. That would result in a low POI at 50 feet. Try shooting at 25 yards and see where the bullets strike.
