Both the parts I ordered for my CS45,the mag and the guide rod and recoil spring a backordered. That seems a little ridiculous,I'm glad I don't have a pistol that won't shoot and need these parts.

Got the same thing for my CS9 guide-rod/spring from Midway... Patience just ain't one of my qualities. "Glad I don't have a pistol that won't shoot and need these parts" (to quote YOU).

It's not at all uncommon for parts which are vendor-supplied to occasionally be on back order.

I encounter that from time to time. I have some on back order now, as a matter of fact.

Magazines are especially selling well at the moment, it seems.

My last couple of revolver parts orders were filled pretty quickly, but assorted parts for various 3rd Gen & M&P Series pistols have been on back order.

When I'm able to think of it I try to keep extra parts on hand for repair or preventive maintenance purpose without waiting to find out that I've 'used up' my existing spare parts. Sometimes I'm successful, and sometimes not. ;)

You want to here the nutty thing, I got an e-mail from S&W this morning, one of the things I got a back order notice on,(I'm only talking about 2 days),will be delivered today by Fed Ex.
Go figure??????????????????

I also have some parts on backorder that I need to return a S&W 1006 to it's original condition I can shoot it, but I want it to look like it did when it left the factory. I'm sure some of you understand.

It was a good day,I picked up my CS45,the spare mag came from S&W,I found out my CS45 already has night sights on it and the holster I had for a Taurus PT145 fits the CS45 like a second skin.
I guess it doesn't get much better
