2214NI value???
I am new to this forum, but own a 2206 and think a 2213/2214 would be cool to have. Some research I’ve done shows these can be worth over $1000. Your thoughts please.

Welcome aboard!
IMO, $1000 is WAY too high. I don’t know about the Ni version, but $400 - $500 seems to be the going rate for the blued model in excellent condition. Good luck and be patient!

My son’s first handgun was a limited edition brushed nickel S&W 2213 that I gave $150.00 for. He still has it. I later bought myself a 2213, one of the 500 that included a zipper pouch and holster, which were missing. In 2014 I swapped mine for a VGC S&W 32-1.
I run across a few of these a year for big money. The blue/black finish is not particularly durable. Magazines are expensive and uncommon.
I really liked that entire series of handguns. I still own a pair of 622’s and a 2206.

Yes $1000 is crazy talk. I've bought two int he last 5 years for less than $400. The key is to not be looking for one. ; -)

The brushed nickel model (2214NI) is pretty rare, and it's one of those pistols you would think would be really valuable compared to the run-of-the-mill 2213 and 2214 guns. But sales of them don't bear out any particular premium attached to them. I had one I think I paid $500 or $600 for because it was the first I had ever seen and was in great condition. Check closed listings on auction sites for current value.
Here's a thread I did on the one I bought, just in case you're interested:
