Default Model 39 values

Looked at one today priced at $400.

About 1/4" wide area of holster wear at the muzzle (through the bluing), and some thinning of the bluing on some of the high edges. The finish on the frame looks near perfect, as did the wood grips.

Does the $400 price tag seem a bit high to anyone else?

Nope. I have paid more for similar guns. Is it a 39 or dash two?

I've been looking at 39's for several months recently, looking for a nice shooter. Haven't found one I wanted for $500 yet. I'm holding out for a a lower priced one, but wait a long time.

Sounds like one I would grab for $400. Usually closer to $500 in my area. If not many rounds through it the price sounds quite reasonable.

No, not all...… I bought one last year for $450 that has more wear than you describe, but, oddly, had a dust cover! They are fabulous auto loaders and have one of the classiest form and lines of any handgun made.

Well, here we go again...

Just when I tell myself that I have all the guns I need (actually want) I run into another one that everyone advises me is a deal too good to pass by.

You guys are SUCH a bunch of enablers!

$400 is a fair price in that condition.

Boy HOWDY!
That one is pretty close to being in the same condition as the one I'm looking at. Yours looks to maybe have a a few more handling marks and the grip panels might not be quite as nice - but close.

My local gun shop has a model 39-2 for 699.99. comes with two mags, gun is in great shape, no holster wear or anything. I'm contemplating buying it...serial number was A309999 I believe..never seen one in such great shape.

FYI, the safety/decocker on my 1968 era Model 39 (nothing) is a 2 piece part. After 50 years, the part that you flick with your thumb separated from the rest of the decocker; just something to be aware of. Other than that, I'm very happy with it.

For $700, I think that is somewhere around $200 too much, unless it has the matching box.

I dont know the part you mean. All of the safety assemblies I have taken out have been one piece. Pics of yours?

Wow!! Hope my CS-9 will eventually go for close to that. Should have kept it new-in-box.
