K Frame 3" 357
The finest revolver made, a 3" K frame, 357 Magnum. A very good carry gun, can be concealed and still has great accuracy. Make it blued 14, 19, or stainless 65 or 66. Oh, and scrap the lock on the side!

I'll throw out a request for a Model 66 (3" barrel), please. How about one without the IL? C'mon S&W, you can do it.

3 inch k frames with no locks.no mim parts
They made these already and on the used markets of gunbroker, auction arms, this forum, etc. they are actually less money than todays revolvers produced by smith and wesson. I am not questioning the quality of what Smith produces today but the price of a new 27 made in 2010 is more than what you would pay for a mint one produced in the 70's. Since there were not that many 3 inch k frames made in 357 it probably is a great investment to buy a pre lock one now

I love my 3" 65. Sure would like a 3" 65LS; they are a fine looking revolver.

Do I get to order a new Model 65 three-inch here?
I guess I had better make sure everyone knows that I know this is a wish-list.......the above-listed statement is an attempt at humor. Sorry if some did not understand it.

I agree but also consider the M13 3 inch. Again, like the others a great combat revolver with the fixed sights. The FBI liked this version and most agents carried the M13 3 inch for a number of years.

One of my 'Grail Guns' is a factory nickel 3in Model 19. I have seen only two. Both right after I bought something else and was short of gun funds.

Ditto, but without the LS nomenclature, and without the IL.

I thought the F.B.I. at one time carried a 3-inch .357. Did they not? Do you know which Model that might have been, if so, anyone?

I've thought of selling this to finance something else, but it is such a great revolver I changed my mind. 3" Model 66s are to me the finest revolvers S&W ever made. If you ever obtain one you'll know why.

The 3" 66 is indeed as good as it gets.......got.
Even if S&W made a new batch, and even if they didn't include the idiot lock, you would still have the ugly new frame lines. Probably MIM parts as well.
Find the real deal. They are scarce, not rare, and costly too. They can still be had for less than the new......stuff, as has already been pointed out. I've got two and they will be my heirs guns.
What would you rather pay $750 for????
Don't forget to look for a Walther R99 La Chasse. It is basically a 3" 66-5 with Walther markings. These cost dearly too. Regards 18DAI.

65-2
bought a P&R'ed 3" 65-2 last month, marked MASS STATE POLICE. took it to the range today. i now see what all the rage is about. it's the most accurate pistol i own; or should i say of all of my pistols, i shoot this one the best?
the pistol was dead nuts on...the first 6 rds were all in the 10 ring at 15yds.
the 3" K is amazing.

3" Model 66 in 357 and loaded with Buffalo Bore 38+Ps.
I own a 65 3" and a 19-5 2.5" but I would buy a 66 3" in a heartbeat.

Limited Run of 3inch 620's
My dealer is 20 miles from smith. He says he can have a limited run of these made. 7 shot.Whose interested?
It would be the ultimated hiking/carry revolver.

According to the SCS&W, Davidsons had a run made in 2004 w/ a 3.25" bbl.

Some think the MIM guns have better actions, but it's subjective......a MIM and IL 3" Model 10 and 64 would be OK with me, give me 5 minutes after I got it home and the lock would be gone anyway...... I won't hold my breath for a return of the K-Magnum revolvers.
I stopped wishing for cool stuff to "return" and just hope S&W keeps making the stuff it does now. I would hate to ever see the 10, 64, 67 and 4" 620 get dropped.

I got a 3" RB 13 just because it was a good deal on a smith - didn't know much about the 3" RB's, but now I know what all the fuss is about. I bought an extra hammer, dehorned it and it is the slickest carry gun I got.

Yes, the 620 was dropped. Not a long production run at all.
