Yes, put me down for the 10mm, even more so if it came with a 4.5 or 5 inch barrel

S&W is about the only one not offering a 10mm chambered pistol these days! What a shame! The M&P platform would be a step into the 10mm pistol market because the market is flooded with 1911's already...
It is possible the M&P may not survive the true 10mm potential it brings to the shooters!

S&W M&P 10MM
I'd buy one. The M&P 45 could be easily modified with a beefed up recoil spring, maybe a heavier slide.
Please do it S&W!

10mm is making a comeback and several new models have been launched in the last 12 months, unfortunately I don't see Smith doing it as they dropped the .357 Sig version

Wanted one for quite a while. Couldn't wait any longer. Purchased a Ruger SR1911 10mm. Hope S&W releases one also. I can always use another one. Love the 10.

No steel frame sorry. They did release a P40L model recently to the states. It's a long slide version. They are made in Slovakia and sold through Eagle Imports Inc.

Well..Ive had 2 Glock 20's over the years. Sold them both. I just don't like the feel of them or their triggers. The GP is more accurate and has a better trigger. I'll take a hammer fired gun over a striker fired any day. Just my preference.

I've never owned an EAA. I might give the new P match pro with 18 round capacity a try after I see some feedback.

This may actually gain traction now since the 2.0 frame is reinforced and Ruger and Springfield are killing it with 10mm handgun sales.

Would be very cool to see a 10mm M&P 2.0 in 4.25" & 5" announced at Shot Show in Jan 2019

We.. I have kind of moved from "want one" to "be interesting to see".
I have bumped into a Dan Wesson 10mm CBOB - complete with 40 S&W barrel setup. Which has been my EDC around-the-house bear wrench here in Montana for the last couple of years. Nice.
But my wife carries a Shield for urban spaces, so perhaps a 10mm M&P would be attractive.

Jumping in here. I recently picked up an EAA (Tanfoglio) Witness in 10mm. It is the full sized polymer framed model. It is my first 10mm, and I only have 50 rounds down the pipe so far. Out of that first 50, I had one Failure to Feed, but, it is still breaking in, and the Magtech ammo I was using had the truncated nose, so I'm not too worried about it.
I just installed the Henning guide rod, and the Wolff 20# recoil spring and the matched stronger firing pin spring, as once this pistol is broken in, it won't be shot often, but when it is, it will be only with full powered loads (Doubletap, Buffalo Bore, etc.).
I really like the gun so far, and I'll say, at ~$450, I feel it was quite the bargain.

I absolutely do not like the large frame Glock’s (smallish hands), but I did get a G40 when they came out. I wanted a high capacity, polymer, 5”-6” 10mm for a woods gun, and the Glock was the best choice for what I wanted. That said, if there was a S&W alternative, I would sell the Glock in a heartbeat.
I would do any number of unspeakable acts to get my hands on a 10mm 2.0. I love the 2.0 guns, I shoot them better than any other handgun I’ve tried. If Smith ever releases the 2.0 in 10mm, my father and I would both order one the second they became available.

I really really dislike Glock. They're ugly, although utterly reliable, butt ugly. That said, I own a Glock 20SF that I would sell so freaking fast if S&W dropped an M&P in 10mm.

At this rate Sig will release a 10mm P320 before Smith will release one. But unless it was on the Gen 1 M&P I would not be interested considering the 2.0 removed the beavertail

It is sad to see that Smith & Wesson hasn't made another great semi automatic 10mm pistol. About the time they decide to do one we will likely see our rights of gun ownership compromised!

I'm not trying to be the contrarian here, but I would dearly love to see, what was the S&W 945 chambered in 10mm. Tritium sights too. Yes, it would be heavy, but it would also be six kinds of cool.

In my opinion, as well as the other guys at our gun shop is that the XDm in 10mm will, in short order, beat itself mercilessly to death. No way I would own that gun. If S&W do a polymer 10mm, they need to get it right for the caliber.

The fact that Springfield beat S&W to the punch on a current production 10mm is a travesty.
