Oh yea! this has been asked for many times...
http://smith-wessonforum.com/wish-li...-m-p-10mm.html
Please S&W!, do not make the M&P chambered in the robust 10mm cartridge which would be the perfect ballistic package and platform.
Don't do this, it will wind up costing me yet more money, as I would need to add this to my shooting S&W pistol collection.
No! No! Not the M&P10mm! I might break my arm or get hurt trying to pull out my wallet out, as fast as a double tap shot response, to place an order, should S&W put the M&P10mm out there.
I can't take it any longer, just thinking about the possibilities if S&W were to produce the M&P in this cursed 10mm cartridge...so feared and misunderstood by so many! It is too powerful by some, too weak by others, yet those who actually know this cartridge's performance capabilities, it versitility and many uses still love all it has to offer! I'm still mad at S&W for not taking the cartridge seriously by offering in their newest M&P pistol!
In closing we beg S&W not to venture into this arena of 10mm chambered M&P pistols because they will probably sell faster than you could put them out and cause mass hysteria in the shooting community!

I own a S&W 6" 610 as my go to gun for any home intrusion (along with a fanny pack stuffed with 28 loaded moonclips) and also have a Kimber Eclipse in 10mm. I would be very grateful to have an M&P in 10mm to take into the mountains for hiking and on road trips.

I concur, but please also add 9x19, .357 SIG and .40 S&W to that list.

The M&P 10mm would function with conversion barrels for 40S&W, 357Sig and 9x25Dillon...That would make for a great enhancement package!

I am a new member and would love to have an MP 10mm. I bought a MP 40 Pro last year and love it. If SW would make a 5" 10mm that could shoot heavy lead bullets and offer an accessory 40SW barrel for cheap practice I would buy the package. A 10mm seems to be the perfect woods carry, hog, deer, bear, meth-head gun. 200gr hard cast lead bullets sound like the way to go .Have read up on the Glock 20 and get all fired up to buy one until I walk into the store and pick up the Austrian brick. The Glock barrel can't be fed lead so for my use 2 additional barrels would have to be purchased. The other 10mm auto is a $1300 Dan Wesson which is way out of my budget.

There are a few other 10mm alternatives, one of which I picked up used for $359 at a LGS recently. It's the EAA Witness, a gun I like enough to own four of, dating back to 1990, when I bought the first CZ-pattern 40 I ever saw. I gave that one to my son this month for his 20th Birthday, and after 47,000 rounds, it's still a heckuva shooter. The 10mm version is on top in the photo below, all I've done so far is put in a 22-lb spring and shoot the heck out of it. What it does to steel plates has to be seen to be appreciated. I like it.

Not as enamored with the 10mm as most of you seem to be, but a .38 Super? I'm in.

If you like the 38Super you might truely enjoy the 9x25Dillon, (10mm necked down to 9mm)

I shot a 10mm Glock full size today for the first time ever. 180gr. Child's play. Much prefer it to S&W .40.
Now, I need to see S&W put one together with better ergonomics like all M&P's vs. Glocks.
Already have the M&P .357 Sig.. er I mean .357 Auto.

+1
And...
I'd love to see the M&P in 10mm. I think in the near future we will see the popularity of this cartridge begin to rise even more than it already has.

Bumping this one back up for a great cartridge with true ballistic potential from a semiauto and just a whole lot of great fun!
Many people have continued focus for this cartridge and the pistols to shoot it...have a look here. 10mm-firearms.com - Index

Oh yes, please, may I have one sir...
Or a 1911sc E series in 10mm, I'd be perhaps even happier with that.
Either one, 4.25" bbl, would make my year.

Lazarus-ing this thread. Don't care.
M&P 10mm! I want one!
But S&W should probably wait a few months (fingers crossed... right) for the demand for their other guns to subside.

Heck, I want the first two 10mm M&P's but what are they gonna call it now? They already make an M&P10 but it's a .308 rifle.

Definitely would buy!
My father-in-law is very into guns (actually responsible for my gun hobby) and we talk guns often. While he was here on a visit he brought up during a conversation the M&P 10. The look on my face must have been priceless. I think I was actually reaching for my wallet... then he went on to talk about how its been reviewed to be one of the best budget 762 AR platforms out there which brought me spiraling back to reality so fast it hurt.

Smith could at least make a short run of them to see how the market reacts. I know theyd sell quickly.

Just a monthly reminder to S&W -
M&P 10mm!!
Please remove my need to give GLOCK my money for the G20 and G19. Two gaps the m&p hasn't filled...and one is one of the most popular pistols in recent history. For shame

So I went to the LGS and told them of my plan to build a 10mm on a .45 frame. He proceeded to pull out an M&P 9 Pro and two M&P 45's: mid and full size. We played mix and match and it was eye opening. Really cool guy, am I right? The 9mm slide fits on the .45 frames, but there is a little overlap of frame beyond slide. The trigger pull is terrible. A custom barrel to fit the .45 frame appears to be the only way to go. Seems like a fun and easier way to fly. Another .45 for the rack and a bad boy performance barrel. Hmm, if they won't listen...I'll do it myself!
