mg357,
They Did!!...They're referred to as .22 M&P's before 1957 & Model 45's thereafter!! They were originally produced as a Training Revolver for the Post Office...Very Limited Production...approx.1500!!

Would enjoy such a rendition of a Model 10; especially if .22LR would come back with reasonable prices.

I'd buy one (a used one, of course). There's an old Victory on GA right now that's been sleeved to .22. It has a 6" barrel and after-market adjustable rear sight. It looks like a lot of fun to shoot.

Lets not forget the tiny number of 6” fixed sighted K22s sold to the Coast Guard. I forget their age and consequently if they’re M&Ps, pre-45s or 45s. Incidentally, 45s are so expensive that most of us can’t justify buying one.

Back to the original posters request, a mod 10 would be nice but with .22 lr, I like adjustable sights. Perhaps a mod 15,19 ,67 or 66 clone in .22? As proof of market niche, Rugers SP101 re-entry into the 22 world has gone well.
IMHO, The 617 is "OK" but that under lug needs to go.

.22LR Model 10
My question for those who want a rimfire duplicate of a centerfire handgun is:
The second gun in .22 will cost as much (or more) as the centerfire gun. Rather than buy that .22 gun, how much centerfire ammo can you buy with that money to shoot in the first gun?

I would like to see the model 43 kit gun brought back. Perhaps 8 shot..Also sadly as a Canadian it would require a 4.25" barrel

Glad to hear from you,
There was some earlier concern for your well being in another thread. The general concern was you surviving the tornados.

SORRY, I didn't realize I was responding to a thread from October.
Now you got ME worried, If you're OK let us know.
