547, snub nose (2 inch)
I picked up one with a 3 inch heavy barrel via gunbroker in mint condition with a few HKS 547 speedloaders. The S&W 547 has been discontinued for about 30 years now. I would like to see a 547 snub nose with a shrouded hammer (like the 638 and 649). You can still get HKS speedloaders for the 547 and Tuff Products makes 9mm speed strips.
A snubnose 547 would be an excellent backup firearm to anyone carrying a 9mm semi-auto pistol.

I'd sure like one, but if it's a J or K snub I want it.

A return of the 547 in any form would be great, and a 2" round butt would be terrific.

The 547 is a K-frame as it has a six round cylinder. It would be a trivial matter for S&W to produce a 5 round J-frame version. I know both would sell. The design of the 547 could be adapted to a .40 S&W, 10mm and .45 ACP revolver that doesn't use moon clips.
