That sounds really good to me. I like the idea of the 327 and the SS barrel and cylinder.

I'm just so stuck in the past that I can only think of a K frame as being a 6 shot gun. Those new fangled 7 & 8 round revolvers just confuse me.
An 8 shot makes a lot of sense.

Yes a .327 would be nice in a sw K model 6" or even a 8" barrel. A .32hr mag would be nice in a 8" barrel for hunting. I have one .32s,two .32swl and one .327. I also have the Smith Wesson K.32 masterpiece.

Model 616! A stainless steel K frame in 327 magnum. I would prefer a 6 shot but more would be ok with me. Since I'm dreaming anyway, let's drop the full lug barrel and the internal lock too!

Like Bastogne71 says in post #7 above...
A 616 would be nice, but I'd be ok with just a new blued "Model 16-5" (I suppose that's what it would be). I'll take the option of a 4 inch, or 6 inch barrel. The full under lug is ok with me. Adjustable sights... Let's go with the K-Frame square butt combat grips, with S&W medallion of course. (Like the 16-4.)
IF I've got this straight, you could shoot:
.327 Federal Magnum
.32 H&R Magnum
.32 S&W
.32 S&W Long (great target wadcutters available)
Hey what's this? I just fell out of bed... I must have been dreaming!
Best wishes everyone.

I bought a Ruger GP100 4-inch S/S .327 some time back on a lark, learned later it had a very limited release (2-3 years) and was dropped from their catalog. 7 rounds of fun, gorgeous gun...never seen another one at our local gun shows. And it will handle various, less expensive .32 cartridges. It is quite hefty, more so than the Ruger SP101 currently available. Interesting round, interesting guns.

The 632s are really good guns, but in .327 Federal, they really are uncomfortable to shoot. On the other hand, my Bowens Custom .327Federal Model 16-4...it is a dream and accurate. I know it shoots all the other .32s, but I wish I asked him to make an unfluted 32-20 cylinder....but at over $400, I figured WHY?
But it is stellar.....
