And then there were 10 ... Mississippi has joined the growing list of states recognizing the US Constitution and restoring to it's citizens the right to carry a concealed weapon without a permit from the state.

Mississippi Governor Signs Constitutional Carry Bill - OutdoorHub

The usual suspects are frothing at the mouth and predicting a blood bath. I wonder when they'll figure out the truth ... ? Maybe exercise a little of that "common sense" they keep going on about?

Congrats to Mississippi.
Oklahoma has legislation pending to allow constitutional carry to openly carry a handgun but not concealed, which would still require a permit. If it passes and is not amended to include concealed (not likely), maybe it's a step in the right direction anyway.
My representative has said he's receiving opposition from some LE to even allow open carry without a permit due to gang members carrying. Can I assume that the other states that allow it must not have gang problems then? Well isn't that special that those that can carry don't want the commoners the same right???

If I were a member of a gang that commits criminal acts, I wouldn't open carry.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm thinking that a few gang members are probably carrying already. :)

A main opponent in Oklahoma to unlicensed carry of any kind is the chamber of commerce, who are running a pretty good misinformation campaign with the legislature using LEO (mostly retired) spokesman.
And then there is the well-funded anti-gun group led by our distinguished OU President, Sen Boren....."Students will be carrying on campus if this passes" (already prohibited by separate law).

Chamber of Commerce is also pushing for a new law to make ANY carry into a posted business a crime vs present "Must leave when asked or be charged with trespassing."

They know the truth alright and I'm surprised they can find anyone still ignorant enough to buy this argument since it's been proven false many times. But to admit the truth would be to admit the abject failure of "gun" laws in reducing crime.

In Arizona there was supposed to be "blood running in the streets" after passage of the original concealed carry law over 20 years ago. NEVER happened.

Again there was supposed to be "blood running" with the allowance of carrying in an establishment where alcohol is served as long as the person carrying didn't drink.** NEVER Happened

** The Libtard gun grabbers used to leave the 2nd half of this out whenever discussion came up of course!

Your rep already knows this, but point out to him that the bad guys already carry firearms any time and any where they want.
