Just finished up this 1/8 scale Ferrari 250 GTO. Has working head, tail, stop and dash lights. The horn works also. Real wire wheels that were 87 pieces each. It's not perfect but all in all I'm pretty happy with the outcome!

A few ago - was in Manitou Springs, CO, going to a restaurant with Bro and SIL.
It was snowing and getting dark.
I was amazed to see a GTO 250 go flying past.
Not sure if it was a replica or the Real Deal!

That looks awesome I build model ships myself .

Excellent, the HMS Warspite! A combat veteran of both world wars. It's hard to find a warship with a greater battle record: Jutland, Narvik, Cape Matapan, Crete, Salerno, and Normandy, to name the most prominent ones. It's too bad she was scrapped, as I cannot think of any Royal Navy ship more deserving of preservation as a war memorial.

Is that an Agora model? They look stunning, but then too, so is the price.
Yes it is, stupid expensive, broken down over 12 payments it's a little more palatable! Now that I'm retired on social security there won't be any more. I do have enough kits I stockpiled over the years I was working so I have plenty to build in retirement! I have always had a thing for the 250 GTO so I bit the bullet. A couple years ago I built one of their Shelby Cobra's, my all time favorite car, that was a really nice kit too.

About 60 years ago I built a 1963 XKE Jag. Thousands of pieces, working shocks, doors , crank up windows, all exterior parts to engine block were individual. Then when I was transferred a moving company did a real number on it. Went into the trash. Many hours with tweezers installing some parts.

Cobra is my favorite as well, just not very practical. If you get to Vegas visit the Shelby Museum and Factory. Yes, they convert Mustangs and other rides.

Before I moved to Arizona I went to the factory 5 factory in Massachusetts and checked them out, at the time I was thinking about building one for a retirement project. After sitting in one I knew that it wasn't for me! About as uncomfortable as anything I had ever sat in. Bought a 2017 Mustang ecoboost premium convertible, did some upgrades and it's all I need.
