Hello friends,

Here's a nice looking .38 Safety Hammerless Fifth Model.

When I won it in an auction several years ago, I had no idea about its history. I asked for a shipping date from Roy Jinks, and he told me "You want to get a letter on this one, it will make you feel wonderful." That's all I needed to hear.

The gun was shipped to Frank Herbert Wesson on July 31, 1924. At the time he was the Treasurer, and later a Vice-President of S&W.

I'm going to celebrate its 100th anniversary by taking it out of the safe, and giving it a little extra love today.

Best wishes everyone. Hope you like the photos!
