Didn't think it would happen. When I first saw the pistol stand I started looking in all forums I could find and finally found one but it was from 2017. Anyway glad to see it.

is the recoil difference similar from the jump from 9x18 to 9x19 or is it more like from 380 to 9mm? aka almost twice the recoil?

Hopefully I'll be able to get one sometime next year. Been wanting another 10mm for a while.

Sure to make a lot of Glock 20/29 users happy. Glock grip angle / contour works well for me, but I know a lot of people don't care for it.

The 10mm, with full power loads is a definite step up from a 9mm, recoil wise. Not bad, or uncontrollable, but maybe in the .357 mag ball park.

10mm comes in two flavors:

10mm spec, 180 / 1250 fps
FBI Lite, 180 / 1050

FBI Lite is a warm .40, no more. The full power load is serious. Most all factory stuff is FBI. The Sig Sauer ammo is full power. Hot 10mm loads can put put muzzle energy in the 600 to 700 ft lb range, a big jump from .40 or .45 ACP.

I shoot full power handloads on XDM 10mm. It's not painful, but shoot a couple of mags, and then the G21 feels light. And going to G17 feels like shooting marshmallows.

The top 10mm loads put out about the same energy as the top .357 magnum loads.

10mm in 1911 is less pleasant than 10mm in a plastic gun.

The new Sprg. Compact 10mm will be a handful with spec loads. Like j frame with hot 158s.

With full power loads it's overkill for personal defense.

Love my G20, great shooter/platform! Handles the full power stuff with no problems. The G29 is also a great small gun. Not a big fan of the M&P guns. Bought a M&P when they first came out. Really nice ergonomics, but lousy trigger and overall didn't care for it compared to my Glocks. I understand they upgraded the triggers in the gen 2s, but too little, too late for me...

That said, I love 10mm, and will check this new one out.

Too little, too late. Have shot and/or owned Gluck, 1911 and XDM 10mms and found the XDM-10 is nearly perfect for me. A year or two ago maybe, but I have no need for the M&P anymore. What's my perfect 10mm you ask? Why it's a S&W, of course! The M610.
