Wanted to get away from the "messy" Hornady and Remington 148 HBWC's so I tried some of Missouri's DEWC. Have had great sucess with their .41, .44, .45 Colt and ACP. Have been shooting Indoor bullseye and PPC matches with swedged HBWC over 3.0 / 3.2gn of 231 thru a couple of 14's with 38 brass, and a 19, and 686 with 357 brass. At 50', with a rest, it's a one hole recipe. Not so with the .357dia DEWC, I seat the HB's .015 proud, and the DE's I seat about .090 over and crimp at the cannelure. The Missouri's do begin to group better over 3.7gn of 231, but I think that's pushing a Brinell 10 bullet......
I like Missouri's product, should I try their .358dia, or go back to swedged and cleaning my seating and crimp die every 50 rounds....

I get amazing accuracy from thier .358 diameter 158 grain lead round nose "Cowboy #11" (Brinnell 12), with 3.2 grains Trail Boss, going around 700 FPS. This is from my 4" Model 64, I've had .22 rifles that don't shoot as good at 25 yards as this combination.

I'd give Missouri Bullet Company another try with some .358 diameter bullets...

My model 14 gets unhappy with .357 cast, but shoots 1" at 25yd with .358.
Ever slugged your cylinder and bore?

I just loaded 200 rounds of 2.8 BE over remmy's 148 HBWC with my 550B.....what a mess. have to clean each round.

I am thinking about trying something else when these run out.

are you using a roll crimp?

Nice looking rounds...what's your reloading setup?

my dillon is a taper crimp and the factory remmy's roll crimp over the top of the slug.

I'd stick with .358 out of a S&W . DEWC's will have to be pushed harder to group well , but probably will not equal HBWC accuracy . You also might try seating them out farther like 1.350 ( 38sp ) , bullet almost touching cylinder throats .

Tennesee Valley .358 DEWC 3.5 BE works in all my guns

I have shot nearly 3000 of the Missouri Bullet .357 DEWC in both 38 special and 357 magnum cases and they have performed great. I was getting the slight bulge in the 357 cases so I started using the Lee factory sizer/crimper die and that cured the problem very well. I do seat mine a slight bit more than you do which is what several folks here in the San Diego area suggested and the ranges use for their reloaded bulk wadcutters.
