This question has most likely been asked, and more than once. However, I see no way to search the form other than one thread at a time, and who has time for that?

So, let me ask. Today our guns are made with polymer parts and some cleaners soften polymer parts, so, what brands have you found to be safe for poly ?

Hoppes 9 for the bore ,barrel and safe on Polymer, I just use it inside frame with heavy carbon , CLP's , Ballistol. As with other threads you will get 100 different answers

I've never experienced any adverse effects to polymer with any of the solvents/cleaners/lubes in the pic. (The little silver/gray bottle with the red cap contains Kroil). I don't like the 'one product does it all' method. I use particular product for specific purpose(s).

To get several hits on any given topic, enter this string in google search along with your key word such as [clean], etc which I used in the provide link. Works pretty well. Exactly as you seen to include no space after site:

site:http://smith-wessonforum.com/smith-wesson-m-p-15-22 clean - Google Search

In this particular case, I entered the following in google search: site:http://smith-wessonforum.com/smith-wesson-m-p-15-22 clean

Works well in other search engines.

Thank you all for your replies. It is good to know that the product that I have used for years on my old wooden stocked rifles is good for poly as well.
Thanks a again, and may you all have a merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

bamashooter, thank you for the guidance on how to dig through the site.

Have a merry Chrishmas and a happy New year.

1. Scrub with a GI toothbrush and Hoppe's.

2. Hose down with non chlorinated brake cleaner.

3. Blast with compressed air.

4. Light lubrication with Breakfree CLP.
